Strain origin – Penis Envy 7 (PE7): An Exclusive Find, meticulously isolated and initially stabilized by the mycologist known as “Joshua,” is a treasure for mushroom enthusiasts. PE7 stands out with its abundant flushes, robust and distinctive formations, and intriguing features. Its coloring is truly unique, ranging from deep browns to chestnut hues. Originating around 2019, this variety has maintained an air of semi-elusiveness. Gill formation – Gills typically are small inset, minimal formation and opening. Gills are often are often filled with spores. Spore will not discharge much. Small amounts of spore may make it on to caps but nothing detrimental to the aesthetics.

Microscopy features – Purplish brown spores.  Spore messure 7 x 12 micrometers. This variety PE7 does not discharge spores.

Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Likely to have available gills for spore production. Spores do not discharge.
