Strain origin –

Philly Golden Teacher graciously presented Bas with the Blue Ape Revert strain as a heartfelt gift. Little did they know that this generous gesture would lead to an intriguing journey within the confines of the laboratory. Through a meticulous cultivation process, this unique strain unveiled an extraordinary and rare characteristic – the emergence of rust and golden-hued spores. The Original BAPER is a reverted APE mushroom with blue hues and white stipes.

This remarkable discovery expands the boundaries of mycological knowledge, joining the ranks of just seven documented rust or gold-spored genetic variations worldwide. Surpassing even the elusive albino strains in rarity, the BAPER-R strain stands out with its captivating coloration and exceptional performance.

Gill formation – Gills typically are medium to large, wide range of formation. Very low spore production observed, potential transitional to albino is possible.

Microscopic features – RUST brown mushroom spores. Spore measure 7 x 12 micrometers. Germination of spores will often be observed having clamp connections and fine feathered mycelium. Microscopes and magnification equipment is recommended for viewing microscopic features.
